The Machakos county boss Dr Alfred Mutua has expressed his delight saying that trading in Machakos has grown and the town now has robust economic activity courtesy of his leadership.
Speaking in his office when he met leaders of Machakos town market, the governor said that his Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement will not relent in the fight against politics of the oppressed and will push for fast development projects in the county.
"We discussed the development of the market and measures we can take together to improve services for them and Wananchi. I was pleased to learn that since my Government started its work in Machakos county, trading in Machakos has grown and the town has robust economic activity," Dr Mutua said.
The county boss further promised to undertake construction of a new toilet block for traders and customers, to add CCTV cameras and lights and to ensure constant garbage collection, among many other measures.
