Kanu party Machakos branch has backed the decision by the party to support Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election in August.
This according to their chairman - Makau is a big reprieve to them as they were in limbo on the position of the party as it was not clear which coalition they were supporting.
Late last week, President Uhuru met Mzee Moi, KANU chairman Gideon Moi and senator Lenyangapuo and they agreed to back his re-election. It has not been clear the position of KANU as their Secretary General Nick Salat has been leaning towards NASA and publicly participated in their events.
Before meeting with Uhuru Kenyatta Moi earlier met mama Ngina and it is rumored they agreed on support for Uhuru's reelection promising to back Moi's bid in 2022.
Moi endorsed Uhuru to succeed him in 2002 and it is clear Uhuru has to 'return the hand' for the support.
