Confirming the unfortunate incident Manyani location assistant chief Dominic Kyalo stated that he was alerted by neighbours who were passing by.

“I was alerted by a neighbour who told me the deceased was lying in his farm and wasn’t breathing. I went to the farm in order to rush him to hospital but when I got there he was already dead, said Kyalo.

Kyalo further explained the man had no physical injuries and suggested his death might have been caused by other illnesses.

However, his family stated that he has been in perfect health and they cannot tell what caused his sudden death.

“His body does not show any signs of physical injuries and so we suspect it might have been a quick attack by a sickness but we will wait for the doctor’s report. I have reported the matter to the police and acquired permission to take his body to the mortuary,” he added.

The body of the deceased has been taken to Machakos Level-five Hospital mortuary as police launch investigations to the cause of death.
