Machakos County residents have welcomed the new line-up of Governor Alfred Mutua’s proposed cabinet announced on Wednesday.
Shah Kioko, a Kangundo youth leader hailed Mutua for recognizing youthful leaders and proposing them to head influential dockets.
“We are very happy to note that the governor has nominated Titus Matiku alias Kavila and proposed him for County Administration and Decentralized Units docket. We are confident that Kavila will deliver since he is well educated, youthful and experienced,” Kioko posted on his Facebook page on Thursday.
Kavila holds a Bachelors Degree in Education from Kenyatta University and is currently pursuing a master’s program in the same institution.
He was also the Maendeleo Chap Chap party candidate for the Kangundo parliamentary seat in 2017 general elections.
Other youthful names which found their way in Mutua’s list of nominees include Urbanus Musyoka (Food Security and Cooperative Development), Evelyn Kavuu and Kimeu Mbithi (Public Service, Quality Management and ICT).
