Shortly after chief justice David Maraga gave the supreme verdict on the presidential petition people of different walks of lives in Machakos county reacted to the ruling.

Some residents of Machakos perceived to be inclined to NASA expressed their anger over the verdict arguing that this will not solve the current political crisis in the country.

They insisted that unless there is a dialogue between Raila and president Uhuru, peace will not prevail in the country.

‘’We believe that the elections were manipuate by IEBC and we cannot be made to believe the election of Uhuru was fair and free,’’ said one of the resident .

Consequently residents inclined to Jubilee from the area who included Machakos Kanu secretary Mr Peter Kioko and former Kibwezi Mp Kalembe Ndile, welcomed the decision by the court saying it was long overdue.

Kioko said Raila  should stop antagonizing Kenyans and accept reality adding that Uhuru should be sworn in immediately instead of waiting for long so that Kenya can move.

Kalembe said Raila should now accept reality of the court and stop his divisive politics that has adversely affected the country’s economy.

He said Raila should not be given any chance to continue disorganizing the country at the expense of its peace.

He told Uhuru to deal firmly with Raila to contain the current turmoil affecting the country out of Raila’s divisive politics.
