Residents of Machakos have expressed shock over the surge of strip clubs in the area.
According to the Nairobian, the business is booming on Fridays and Saturdays.
The tabloid reports that owners have devised new methods of attracting clients.
“These days, it is difficult to find parking space in most of these strip clubs. By 10pm, they are overflowing with clients who want a piece of the action. The strippers, dressed in bikinis, start their performance to thrill the mostly male clientele.
Some of the clients soon start demanding that the girls reveal more as they handsomely tip them,” said a resident.
Men who want to enjoy a lap dance with a stripper have to part with Sh400.
“We have no entrance fee. We want to attract as many clients as we can. Our girls are drawn from different parts of the country,” one of the managers is quoted by the Nairobian.
