FKF official Barry Otieno told Goal that the county stadium will host the game on Sunday (December 17).“We were yet to agree on where the final will be played but it is now official that Machakos will stage the same,” he said, as quoted by Goal.com.Kenya will play against Burundi in the semifinals at the Kisumu City Stadium and Uganda will take on Zanzibar on Thursday. Harambee Stars defeated Tanzania 1-0 to make to the last four. The tournament attracted nine nations including Rwanda, South Sudan, Libya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua said that he is proud of the county hosting the competition.“We are proud to host these matches here, living the dream of our desire to be home to many nations. This goes beyond football, as we continue laying down structures for other sports disciplines in the county, focusing on infrastructural development.“We have already expressed our interest to have the Cecafa final here, and we hope to see Kenya in the final,” said the Governor.
