Speaking at Machakos town on Thursday, Munyaka said that while all development projects are welcomed, there is need for the county to focus on those that will benefit the public directly.

The Machakos MP, while acknowledging the strides made by the county in the last two years in terms of service delivery, said the county has resources to propel more development.

“We are happy that Machakos was recently cited as the best performing county in terms of service delivery. The government should now put more energy on projects that will benefit and empower residents more,” he said.

The legislator noted that the county gets good funding from the national government and urged Governor Alfred Mutua to make sure the money is well utilised.

He said that accountability and transparency in use of public resources enable realisation of development in the county.

The legislator, at the same time, reiterated the need for county leaders to put aside their differences and work for a common purpose.

He said that development can only be realised if leaders put their ideas together.
