The county government of Machakos has been urged to come up with a policy to govern the disposal of asbestos which has been said to cause cancer.In the 1960s, asbestos was widely used in the roofing of government buildings, schools, and hospitals.Jeremiah Simba, Semi-arid Regions Environment director, warned yesterday that the material posed a serious health crisis.He urged that they be disposed of at designated places.
