Kasimbi said the Jubilee administration should take protests by members of parliament from the opposition during President Uhuru’s address to the nation seriously.

“Kenya lacks good leadership, the government should take the opposition’s protests in parliament seriously because people are fed up with empty promises. The state should look into issues raised by the opposition due to the fact that Kenyans are suffering across the country,” said Kasimbi.

“Jubilee administration should listen to cries of the suffering citizens,” she added.

Kasimbi who addressed the press at Muthwani Magatani Ward in Mavoko sub-county on Tuesday, however, condemned the protests against the president by the members of parliament predominantly from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

She argued, there were better ways the agitated legislators ought to have taken to express their dissatisfaction in the Jubilee administration’s performance.

“I personally condemn the strategies deployed by the opposition to show they were furious with the President and his government, I feel they could have deployed better strategies which might earn them some respect,” said Kasimba.

“My fellow women, this is the time we need to come out and offer alternative leadership, we cannot sit and watch things go hey wey at the expense of a common mwananchi,” said Kasimbi.

Kasimbi claimed both the Jubilee administration and leadership of Machakos government had not implemented their 2013 campaign agendas.
