Machakos county women representative Susan Musyoka has condemned the increase of gender violence in some parts of the county.
Speaking in Masii on Wednesday after visit Jackline Mwende's home who was assaulted and her arms chopped off by her husband over childlessness, the legislator urged families to embrace dialogue to help curb gender-based violence.
"I urge people to stop gender-based violence and practice peace. Domestic violence should not be tolerated in the society. My office will work with FIDA to help put an end to such kind of unethical behavior," she said.
She further urged the National Government to set up centers at county lever where we victims of domestic violence can access help at ease.
