Speaking on Monday when he inspected projects started by youth and women in Molo, Macharia said it was wrong and risky for the groups to concentrate all the money they received from the Uwezo and women enterprise funds into one project.

Macharia advised the groups to have more than one project as a security measure, saying that if one project fails, then the other one can suffice.

“It is very risky to take all your money and put it in one project because what will happen if the project fails to turn out as you expected. We must try and have a side project apart from the main project so that if things go wrong then you can have something to cushion you,” said Macharia.

He lauded youth and women groups in his constituency for utilizing the money they received well, and encouraged them to repay back the loans so that other groups can also benefit from the same.

Nakuru county women representative, Mary Mbugua who was with Macharia challenged women to help the youth in selecting projects by giving them advice o how to start and run projects because they have the experience.

“Our young people might lack the experience about how projects are run and managed and because as women we have the experience we need to help them in that sector so that they can utilize the money well,” said Mbugua.
