Matatu Association Gusii branch on Tuesday released several vehicles to various destinations to transport people believed to be Odinga supporters to polling stations.
During the early morning hours, a group of touts and drivers traversed major urban centers and offered to ferry people believed to be supporters of Odinga to vote.
The vehicles belong to members of various associations were dispatched following a protest that Jubilee administration had failed to look unto their welfares.
“This is just volunteer work because we feel that there is need to change leadership. Our economy is crumbling and this is the time to make fundamental change,” says Nyamira branch chair Victor Ratemo.
“Our members are unhappy with the manner in which the country is run and we decided to help Raila using our own capacity. I am hopeful that things will move to our way,” he added.
Although no special formula was applied to identify the diehards, those tasked were urged to ensure they sell manifesto to eager voters.
