When Mohamed Ibrahim resolved to attend the 55th Madaraka Day Celebrations at Garissa Primary School grounds, he did not imagine that he would spend his night at police cell.
The 20- year-old man is alleged to have insulted an officer who was manning the celebrations ground after the law enforcement officer ordered him to vacate an area that was marked as out-of-bounds.
Angered by the insults, the police officer furiously grabbed the visibly terrified 'lawbreaker' and bundled him into a stationary police vehicle, vowing to teach him a lesson for derisively heaping insults on him.
Efforts by the perplexed attendees of the celebrations to plead with the infuriated officer to forgive the man proved futile as he told them off for defending a criminal.
