NTV news anchor Larry Madowo has issued a word of caution to Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino after he mentioned National Super Alliance leader Raila Odinga while taking his oath.
Owino caused quite a stir at the National Assembly during his swearing-in.
He included Raila Odinga's name during the oath but was stopped by the Clerk of Assembly who asked him to stick to the script.
"I, Babu Owino, having been elected a Member of Parliament do swear in the name of the Almighty God that i would bear true faith and allegiance to the people of the Republic of Kenya and Raila Odinga," he said.
He proceeded to end his speech with 'Tibim!' which is a term used in his campaign that became very popular.
Member of the House burst into laughter.
However, Madowo highlighted how Ababu Namwamba did something similar in 2008 and is now on the opposite side of the table from NASA leader Raila Odinga.
"Abubu Namwamba did that too and look where he ended up," read a tweet by Madowo.
