A Mombasa based law court has sentenced a fifty-two-year old Madrasa teacher to life imprisonment for sodomising a nine-year-old boy.
Yusuf Ahmed, was on Friday found guilty of sodomising the boy at Changamwe, Mombasa County, on March 1, 2015.
Issuing his ruling, Mombasa Principal Resident Magistrate Mr Richard Odenyo said that according to the evidence presented before the court, it is clear the victim was sodomised by his Madrasa teacher.
According to testimonials by the victim, the accused is reported to have requested other pupils to play outside before taking him to a nearby toilet where he committed the crime.
An eye witness also informed the court that he found the accused in the school's toilet with the victim, and on approaching them, he realised that Mr Ahmed was wearing a condom.
