For the last two months, residents of Machakos county have witmessed mushrooming of boda boda sheds all over the county.
No one knew for sure who was behind the constructions of those boda boda sheds. There were just speculations and unanswered questions like; is it the county government? Is it an aspirant trying to get votes? Is it an NGO?
Well, the person behind the sheds, creatively named, boda boda Stations, has come out to clear the air and guess who? Yes, you guessed right. Mutua's Maendeleo Chap Chap party.
The party has branded the boda boda sheds complete with governor Alfred Mutua's image and the party's slogan, "Inawezekana Na itawezekana."
Clearly, the governor is reaching out for Machakos youths, many of whom are in the boda boda business.
This is a very smart move. A clever campaign strategy that might as well win him a second term in office.
This is a wake up call for his competitors to up their game. For us voters, the game has just began.
