Machakos senator Johnson Muthama has criticized Governor Alfred Mutua’s Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement saying that it is only propagating cheap politics.
Muthama says that Mutua’s Movement is based on propaganda and that it lacks taste.
The senator claimed that the Movement seeks to serve the interests of few people.
“Governor Mutua is only using Maendeleo Chap Chap to propagate for cheap politics,” he said on phone on Friday.
Muthama further claimed that Mutua’s Movement does not represent the interests of Kenyans.
On Thursday governor Mutua launched the Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement where he said it seeks to propel development across the country.
He said the Movement has presence in all the 47 counties.
Mutua hit out at some leaders in Ukambani who he accused of having failed to deliver services and taking locals for a ride.
The Machakos governor said that he was ready to transform Ukambani region and Kenya at large through the movement.
