This call was made by Mwala Sub-county chairlady of Maendeleo ya Wanawake Margret Mwikali while addressing the media in Mwala on Friday.

Mwikali stated that the headquarter offices of the initiative should work openly, and the chairlady should respect the other leaders elected in the same group.

“I urge the chairlady to open the doors of group offices so that women can access it easily. Our County chairlady Francisca Mutinda should respect the other leaders within the constituencies because they are elected by the resident,” she said.

According to Mwikali, Mutinda has abused her office by trying to divide women, giving an incident of the first lady’s zero campaign marathon, which some of the women were left as a result of misinformation.

“Women from my area were left out in the first lady’s marathon because our leader did not explain clearly the requirements. We support our first lady in this project but we were not able to attend because of lack of proper guidelines,” she added.

However, responding to the allegations, Mwikali rubbished the accusations stating that her office has no power to divide women in the county.

“The accusations that have been in the media are untrue. My office has no such power to divide people,” said Mutinda.
