The opposition NASA will on Tuesday parade bodies of people it says were shot dead by police when opposition leader Raila Odinga returned from the US on Friday and during violence that broke out after the October 26 repeat election.NASA CEO Norman Magaya said the move aims at laying bear the high levels of brutality among Kenyan police.On Thursday, government pathologist Dr Johannsen Oduor said out of the 18 people who died during the fracas between Raila’s supporters and the police in the last two weeks, 10 perished as a result of gunshot wounds while the remaining eight died under different circumstances ranging from maiming or mob lynching.“On Tuesday, the bodies of all patriots Uhuru’s regime has murdered to fraudulently ascend to the presidency will be paraded to the whole world. Jubilee will not have another term,” Magaya tweeted on Tuesday.“We have the answer. Never again shall we be treated as foreigners in our motherland.”Uhuru will be sworn in on Tuesday at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani. NASA says Raila will also be sworn in ‘president’ the same day.On Friday when the former prime minister’s convoy snaked its way from the JKIA to the city centre where he was expected to address a public rally after returning from the US, police engaged opposition supports in running battles as gunshots rented the air for the better part of the day.Five people, the opposition claimed were killed during the battle.On Saturday, a day later, seven other people are said to have been shot dead in Mathare by police who were patrolling the area while on Sunday four bodies were found dumped along a road in Ruaraka. The four bodies bore gunshot wounds and deep panga cuts.NASA attributed all the deaths to police shootings.Nairobi Police Commander Japheth Koome, however, linked the killings to mob lynching. He said those who died perished while looting property.All the bodies are currently at Nairobi City Mortuary.
