A family in Kairi, Gatundu North is living in fear after they reportedly found a mysterious pot surrounded by salt near their house door.
This has caused the family to spend their Sunday night praying outside their home.
According to the family, the pot was full of raw meat inside which they found after resuming home from church. Beatrice Njeri, the mother of two who owns the home says it was like a magic as their house too was fully surrounded with salt.
‘We found a pot full of uncooked meat which we until now don’t know who placed outside our main door. The whole pot and the house were too surrounded with salt a situation we could not contain forcing us to spend our yesternight in our neighbours house,’ said Njeri
Kairi is three kilometres from Gituamba town which has in the current past been experiencing a series of demonic acts ranging from goons stealing from a church, a woman’s house being burn on alleged devil worshipping among others.
It is said that Njeri, who divorced his husband in 2013 was often heard by neighbours screaming at night something the neighbours allege must be devil related. The husband is said to have been harassing the woman and children forcing their divorce and re-location of the family from Nairobi to Kairi which is their rural place.
‘We have never seen such a magic. Uncooked meat inside a big pot surrounded with salt; this was horrifying. Mama Jamoo has been screaming at night forcing many of us lose our slumber but the Sunday incident prompted us to think otherwise,’ said Juliet Murugi a neighbor.
According to the area assistant chief Martin Mwangangi, police have started investigating the matter after the meat was on Monday morning burnt by area residents and Israel Holy Ghost pastor Erick Munyua.
Njeri has been advised not to vacate from the house after reacting in protest of the act. Residents have also been advised to mind their relationship with God and avoid engaging in demonic rituals something Munyua says could ruin their relationship with God.
