The accused will remain in custody until Thursday April when he is expected to answer charges leveled against him.

According to magistrate Riany, the decision was reached as per the wishes of police who said that the key witnesses in the case are still expected to record statements.

They said that if the accused was to be given bond then he would 'definitely interfere with the investigations'.

Corporal Rono Kerubo asked the court to grant police 14 days to carry out the investigations and record of statements by witnesses before the accused can be presented to answer charges.

"If allowed to walk free on bond, the accused might interfere with the collection of evidence and investigations as victims are well known to him," he stated.

The accused was arrested on Tuesday and taken to Sarang'ombe AP post before being transferred to Kilimani police post.

He was accused of defiling children aged between 5 and 11 where he lured them into his house before defiling them.

"In the affirmative that upon the examination at the Kibera South hospital, the children were found to have been defiled," read Ms. Kerubo's affidavit.

The suspect is expected to be produced in court in order to answer charges next week on Thursday.
