Lawyer Nelson Havi on Saturday slammed Magistrate Kenneth Cheruiyot for issuing the search warrant that was used to access Miguna Miguna's home at Runda.

Havi claimed that the warrant from Milimani Law Court was used by criminals who presented themselves as policemen to invade and destroy Miguna’s home.

He warned Cheruiyot for crossing the boundary saying he would soon join Joseph Mbalu, the High Court judge who was sacked for misconduct.

“The order and search warrants used by criminals holding themselves out as policemen to bomb and destroy Miguna Miguna’s home was issued by Magistrate Kenneth Cheruiyot.

"He has crossed the red line and will soon join Joseph Mbalu Mutava. We cannot have criminals in the Judiciary, " said Havi on his Twitter account.

The search warrant authorized Chief Inspector Joseph Gichuki and his team to enter Miguna’s house and search for any materials that could be used to undermine the government of Kenya.

The vocal lawyer was arrested at his home after witnessing the controversial swearing of opposition leader Raila Odinga as ‘the People’s President’ on 30thJanuary.

The government is yet to free him after the High Court ordered for his release.
