During the funeral ceremony, filed with thousands of mourners, the family declared the deaths as religious killings by ungodly human beings.

Paul Magu, 35, his wife Lydia Wangui, 32, their two sons – Ryan, 9, and Allan, 7 – and their daughter Tiffany, 5, were all buried in one grave as a sign of transition.

The Kenya Red Cross spent more than half an hour in restoring calmness among the mourners who were shouting and decrying in grief as the late lawyer’s family was laid to rest.

The family members expressed their concerns about the mysterious deaths of the five-member family terming it as a ritual sacrifice which should be condemned.

However, the bereaved parents, Samuel Muhiu and Kezia Wambui of the late Paul Magu and Francis Ndau and Mary Muthoni of Lydia Wangui remained calm though in tears throughout the session.

The message of the day was based on the regulation of religion and the Magus termed as the happiest couple that everyone admired.

The family’s spokesman, Andrew Kamau, was cut short by deep emotions when he was reading the eulogy of the deceased family.

The bereaved family members have further termed the three foregone children as intelligent, charming and friendly to all and went ahead to wish that they would have been given a chance to become what they wanted to.
