Two Cabinet Secretaries have defended their health counterpart Dr Cleophas Mailu amid accusations of gross misappropriation of Sh5 million.
This comes after Kieni Member of Parliament Kanini Kega asked Dr Mailu not to appear before parliamentary committee scheduled for next week.
"Do not honour that summon by the Senate Committee. They cannot rush to give judgement while we have not received an authentic report from the Auditor General," said Kega as quoted by Nation.
Energy CS Charles Ketter and his counterpart Mwangi Kiunjuri alleged that an in-house audit report in the Health ministry was leaked to the media while still incomplete.
"The questions were raised and the CS called for an audit. The opposition is spreading propaganda and lies but Kenyans should be patient on the audit process," Kiunjuri added.
