Health CS Cleopa Mailu has been urged to stand firm and not resign over the alleged Sh5 billion Afya House scandal.
Kieni lawmaker Kanini Kega while speaking on Sunday said that there is no tangible evidence to show that Mailu was involved in the scandal.
“We in Parliament cannot just rely on papers that have not been approved by the Auditor General to confirm that money was lost at the Health Ministry. My message to PS Muraguri and CS Mailu is that they should ignore calls for their resignation and stay put,” said Kega.
She further dismissed the opposition calls to have the two resign as baseless and aimed at destabilizing the Jubilee
