Outgoing Starehe Member of Parliament Maina Kamanda has sent a congratulatory message to Musician Charles Kanyi popularly known as Jaguar.
This is after Jaguar was declared the Jubilee primaries winner for Starehe constituency.
Kamanda was declared the winner, but the musician successfully appealed the move and he was handed the certificate.
Speaking on Thursday at his Muthaiga home, Kamanda conceded defeat and affirmed that alongside his supporters, they will back Jaguar during the August general election.
While maintaining that he won the primaries, Kamanda assured that he was firmly in Jubilee and behind the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Earlier reports had indicated that Kamanda was contemplating ditching Jubilee to vie as an independent candidate.
Jaguar was declared the winner on Wednesday after protesting the results that found Kamanda got 10,374 votes against his 8,391.
He rejected repeat polls, refused to negotiate with the MP who was ready for dialogue and staged a protest at Jubilee headquarters on Saturday.
