Njenga said he would fight for proper legislation to bring this change and also help improve the general welfare of the Laikipia residents.

“Now that the seat which is currently held by Mr G G Kariuki will be falling vacant in 2017 after his retirement, I will be ready to square it out with others who might have interest, but this is something that I will announce later after consulting widely,” he noted.

The Hope International Ministries church founder also said he was ready to work with the Jubilee duo of William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta whom he termed as his friends.

“You know that Deputy President William Ruto is one of my greatest friends. The president is also my friend and I am ready to work with them to form the next government,” he added.

Njenga is expected to enter the political space on a Jubilee ticket based on the recent departures from Cord by former Raila Odinga Mount Kenya allies including Margaret Wanjiru and nominated Member of Parliament Isaac Mwaura.
