Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga has scored a major boost in political journey after he was allowed to participate in the Jubilee nominations.
Njenga is gunning for the Laikipia county senate seat.
He had been locked out of the Jubilee primaries despite having paid the requisite fee.
Sources within the party told him that there were clear instructions from President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to have him put on hold until he speaks to them.
Other sources said Jubilee were concerned with his ‘dark past’.
He filed a case at the Political Parties Tribunal where a verdict was given in his favour.
The Tribunal ordered JP to allow him participate in the primaries.
