Majengo Market traders have lamented the effect that the ban on plastic bags is having on business. They contend that business has gone down since the ban was effected as their customers don't feel comfortable moving around with baskets and that the manilla bags are way expensive.Kathleen Adero says that reusable bags are in short supply in the county.''I sell soup. I cannot sell to take away customers,'' Amadi Chimoni says. The traders want the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) to relax enforcement of the ban.
