Universities should brace up for major shake-up aimed at improving quality of University Education, Education Cabinet Fred Matiang'i has announced.
Speaking at the AMREF Headquarters on Monday diuring the AMREF Health Africa Graduation, Dr. Matiang'i warned Universities to shape up or ship out.
He announced that Universities offering sub-standard programmes and dishing out degrees to politicians have a date with Destiny as they will be closed.
"It is time we had dialogue with the truth," Dr. Matiang'i reiterated.
Dr. Matiang'i awarded a letter of interim authority to Amref International University under Dr. Githinji Githae to award degrees noting that AMREF has always been committed to quality.
Over 500 graduands received certificates and Diplomas during the occasion.
