Renowned political analyst Prof Makau Mutua has come clear on his take on the yet-to-materialize NASA saying that the union between Cord's co-principals and Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi is what will eject the UhuRuto government from office.
Speaking in his weekly post to one local daily, Mutua affirmed to the capability of NASA taking over government come 2017 but disagreed with Raila or Kalonzo being the presidential candidates.
According to Makau, if ODM's Raila Odinga, Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka and ANC's Musalia Mudavadi refuse to work together for any reason, they will automatically give President Uhuru Kenyatta and Jubilee another five-year term in office.
“But the real chess match is between Mr Musyoka and Mr Odinga....This is where Mr Mudavadi comes in. Mr Musyoka and Mr Odinga may checkmate each other,” said the former law dean at Buffalo Law School in New York.
He further said that with Mudavadi as the presidential candidate and Kalonzo as the Deputy President, NASA has more chances of bagging the price than with Raila for president being deputized by either Kalonzo or Musalia.
“This opens the door for them to settle on Mr Mudavadi for prezy. Mr Odinga’s gets PM and Mr Musyoka VP,” wrote Makau.
