Speaking to this writer at his office in Mlolongo town on Friday, Solomons Group of school’s director Bernard Kitangi said Makau have done a commendable job with the fund.

“I have toured over 75 percent of the counties across the country, from all the sincerity in my heart, Makau has it,” said Kitangi.

“There are so many schools in other constituencies that do not have even a single input of CDF, other constituencies are not investing in education,” said Kitangi.

Kitangi said there is no legislature in Machakos county who can match Makau as far as supporting education is concerned.

He said the MP does not only depend on CDF to support education of children from his constituency since he has other initiatives towards the course.

“Makau Foundation pays school fees to orphans and vulnerable children from Mavoko Constituency, there is no reason why a child should not join secondary schools and successfully sit for their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE),” said Kitangi.

Kitangi said Mavoko had a functional and wonderful CDF and therefore the community had no reason not to take their children to school.
