Speaking to this writer on the phone on Thursday, the legislature said his father John King'ola passed on at Nairobi West Hospital.

Makau said the father collapsed last Thursday while watching news on TV at his Ngoleni home in Machakos sub-county.

"He collapsed when he watched on TV that the Inspector General Joseph Boinett had ordered my arrest in connection to torching of the Syokimau AP camp," said Makau.

He said the father died at around 8.00 am while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Makau who had been charged at a Machakos Court with arson, incitement to violent and interfering with evidence of another case on Monday, was released on a Sh 100,000 cash bail.
