Leaders in Laikipia county have hit out at NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga for threatening to boycott the planned October 26 repeat of presidential polls.
The leaders led by Governor Nderitu Muriithi, senator John Kinyua, Women Rep Catherine Waruguru and Laikipia West MP Patrick Mariru dared Raila to boycott the elections.
"Raila should write to IEBC so that his name can be dropped from the race rather than coming up with unending demands each day," said senator Kinyua.
According to the leaders, planned polls as announced by IEBC will take place even if NASA decides to boycott.
"Supreme court ordered IEBC to conduct fresh polls within 60 days after the nullification of August 8 presidential results. No body is going to push for the postponement of the dates any longer,"said Muriithi.
