Sato spoke after Birongo Farmers Cooperative Society (BFCS) Limited presented grievances that their land had been sold to an investor.

He told them that investors and developers target idle lands hence some unscrupulous former officials took the advantage to forge documents and sell the land secretly.

Therefore, he urged farmers to make sure that their land is developed to put away investors and unscrupulous brokers.

“My advice to the farmers is that they should develop their lands so that the no investor can take it away," he said.

"Because if it is idle it means nothing is going on hence they should find a way of  making the land productive," advised Sato.
