Makongeni residents have lauded the county governments for improving health facilities in Makongeni dispensary.
This comes after Kiambu Governor Ferdinad Waititu issued it with an emergency ambulance late last year and supplying medicine on time.
Joel Wanjohi a facebook user initiated the motion after getting pleased by the services his daughter was offered in the small dispensary.
Posting on Thika Politics Facebook page on Friday Wanjohi expressed his joy saying that that despite the size of the dispensary Waititu has done something commendable to the people living in the area.
“Despite all Waititu has done Makongeni residents proud. The small dispensary in the area now has an ambulance and patients are attended to with care and competence. I did not hear any patient complaining for lack of medicine. My daughter who had a fever left the room smiling not because she was healed but the tender care nurses offered her. Viva Governor Babayayo,”he posted.
Other facebook users flocked the page to express their sentiments and views on the post.
“Kudos..I know the residents feel released and are now happy but this should be done in the whole of Kiambu,” Kagucia Jared said.
Jane Mutinda said, “This is the better side of the coin though ametumwagia pombe sana.We want him to just not only in health matters but in business sector."
“I voted for Babayao because I knew he would put first things first. Beer is no important compared to human health,” Kingori Matthew wrote.
Despite the positive compliments there were those who criticized him for 'forgetting' some areas in the county.
“How about we people of Ngoliba ? Are we people of a lesser of God. Consider all whether they voted for you or not!!!,” Mueni Priscilla said.
This month Waititu said that he will work tirelessly on NHIF campaign to see that all the people of Kiambu have health covers.
