A section of leaders in Wiper party is threatening to ditch the party with claims that some leaders were disrespecting them.
Led by Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana they said that they were in talks and wanted to leave the party.
"Kalonzo should ensure that he sorts some issues within the party ahead of the 2022 election," he said.
Governor Kibwana said that he was ready to quit the party and just remain as an advisor instead of attracting unnecessary differences in the party because they were seen as foreigners.
He took issues with a section of nominated ward representatives in the county who were calling him names and accusing him of misusing county funds.
These arguments come just two weeks after the party held a meeting that saw its leaders agree to work together ahead of the next elections.
The Governor folded his Muungano party ahead of the last general elections where he agreed to work with Mr Musyoka.
