Mr Masika said that his decision to quit Wiper is based on grounds that the nomination exercise in Wiper might not be fair and transparent.
The real estate tycoon claimed that Wiper Party is likely to endorse incumbent Kivutha Kibwana for re-election a situation that will lock him out.
“I have decided to quit and join a political party that will guarantee fair and transparent nomination,” he told journalists on Sunday.
Mr Masika a real estate tycoon exuded confidence of being elected as the next Makeuni governor in the August general election.
The aspirant said that he has the experience to manage the county affairs if elected.
He vowed to spearhead infrastructure development, agriculture, trade and employment in the county if elected.
Last month Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana dissolved his Muungano party in support of Kalonzo’s Wiper Party.
A section of aspirants now claim that Kivutha and others who have joined Wiper will be favored during the party nomination slated for next month.
Wiper party has however assured supporters and aspirants that the nomination will be free, fair and transparent.
