[Photo|Kivutha Kibwana]Makueni is on the verge of securing USD 10Million funding from the Green Climate Fund to finance climate resilient development, Governor Kivutha Kibwana has said.The pledge came up during a stakeholders meeting at Wote to draw a joint intervention road map on climate change, chaired by Governor Kibwana. The meeting was graced by officials from ICRAF, KWS, Kenya Forest Service, NEMA and World Resources Institute (WRI) on Friday.The pledge was announced by Principal Scientist and leader of landscapes governance at ICRAF Peter Minang.The County has been tasked to draw a biodiversity needs plan that will facilitate release of the funds by the Seoul based organization.
