The wrath of Makueni voters has been expressed in totality. Makueni County Assembly will have new faces apart from one lucky MCA. Francis Mutungi survived on a Wiper ticket and retained his Kathonzweni ward seat out of the 30 MCAs.

The voters did not spare even former County Assembly Majority Leader Francis Mutuku. Wiper’s Julius Mutula took his Kilili/Kalamba ward post which he was defending on a New Democrats Party.He said that he respects the will of the people. Mutuku also promised to serve people in opposition.

"I will never tire. I thank God for everything and I will remain focused," he said as quoted by the Star.

Governor Kivutha Kibwana's head of protocol Alfred Kituku (Wiper) floored Narc’s Bernard Musau who was the Assembly’s Deputy Speaker. Another Wiper candidate Alfred Mutuku beat Muungano’s John Mwenze in the Nguumo MCA battle.

Kisau/Kiteta ward post wa relinguished by former Wiper whip Jackson Ngovi to Wambua Masavu of Wiper while Felix Mateso also won Wiper party the Wote/Nziu Ward slot formerly held by Sammy Maseka (New Democrats).
