On her Facebook account, Mbula posted that the calls for referendum are only meant to benefit a few selfish and egocentric individuals who can't accept that they lost the 2017 general elections..

"On this one I am behind Deputy president William Ruto, I will not support change of laws that will only benefit a few individuals. Kenyans should watch out," reads the post.

Mbula hailed the self proclaimed NASA general Miguna Miguna for standing his ground on his fight for electoral justice despite lack of support from NASA principals.

She said Miguna meant well for Kenyans not like the NASA leader Raila Odinga who forgot his people after the handshake with president Uhuru Kenyatta.

"Miguna means well for us Kenyans, not like some people who went to Canaan and forgot about us," Mbula said.

Last week, Ruto trashed calls for constitutional amendment as proposed by some leaders stating the move was selfish.

Ruto said the country is still recovering from the economic exhaustion the two elections took it and couldn't afford a referendum.

He said as at now, the country has enough politicians and doesn't need more.

Ruto made the sentiments days after Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua and his Kakamega counterpart Wycliffe Oparanya called for a referendum to enable creation of more political posts ahead of the next elections slated for 2022.
