Wiper candidate for Kwalee gubernatorial seat Chirau Mwakwere has demanded repeat elections.
This is after provisional election results indicated that Jubilee's Salim Mvurya was on course to retain the seat.
At 2.25pm, Mwakwere was a distant second with 26,028 votes (15.92 per cent) against Mvurya's 105,629 votes (64.61 per cent) in 544 out of 612 polling stations.
Makwere claims that IEBC officials have been amending documents, citing form 34A at Kwale Baraza Park polling station at 4am on Wednesday.
"We have discovered a grand rigging scheme. We found IEBC officials at Baraza park amending documents in the governor ballot box," he told the press today.
He further claimed he got 178 votes against Mvurya's 167 at that station.
"The IEBC officer in charge was also signing documents which had been signed by polling agents and we established the signatures are fake," the former Ambassador to Tanzania said, adding he has video evidence.
"For a credible election in Kwale, there must be a repeat. We will do everything possible to ensure leaders are elected following accepted laws," he said.
