She claims that male politicians feel threatened by women seeking seats in the forthcoming 2017 polls.

“We are concerned that some male politicians are out to block women from vying for elective seats,” she said on Saturday when she addressed women and youths at Thika town.

She added, “It is unfortunate that some male politicians feel threatened by women entry into politics,” she said.

The nominated MCA who has declared to run for the Thika Ward seat said that women have a chance to agitate for reforms in the country.

She observed that issues facing the society can be best addressed by women. “Women are knowledgeable and can provide solutions to problems facing the society,” she said.

Ngeru asked women to come out and vie for elective seats in the coming 2017 polls stating that there is no reason for women to fear from running for higher political positions in the coming polls.

Meanwhile, the MCA wants the Jubilee government to act tough on graft. The nominated MCA says that corruption is painting the Uhuru Kenyatta government negatively.
