Kitui governor Julius Malombe has said that his re-election on Tuesday is a done deal.
Speaking in Kitui Town on Saturday, the Wiper Party governor said that he will win re-election without sweating.
Malombe said that his competitors are not giving him sleepless nights and that he defeat them by 8 AM on Tuesday.
“I am confident that I will beat my rivals with a landslide because they have nothing to offer the people,” he said as quoted by the Standard.
Malombe criticized his rivals in the race accusing them of propagating propaganda.
“They have wasted their time campaign on propaganda instead of issues and they should now prepare for humiliating defeat on Tuesday,” Governor Malombe added.
The Kitui governor said that locals have trust and confidence in him. He said that his re-election agenda is to complete the development projects his government has initiated.
Governor Malombe is facing stiff competition in his re-election bid from former Lands Cabinet Secretary (CS) Charity Ngilu and Senator David Musila.
Ngilu is vying on her Narc party while Musila is contesting as an independent candidate.
