Kitui Woman Representative Nyiva Mwendwa has urged Governor Julius Malombe and Senator David Musila to iron out their differences for the sake of local’s unity.
Mwendwa says that perceived wrangles pitting Malombe and Musila is not good for the county’s unity.
She said that Malombe and Musila have no option but to reconcile and work together as leaders since their differences were causing anxiety among locals.
“Governor Malombe and senator Musila must put aside their differences for the sake of unity and peace among Kitui people,” she said as quoted by the People Daily.
The Woman representative said that the interests of the people are bigger than Malombe and Musila’s own interests.
She called on the two leaders to give dialogue a chance in order to find solution to their differences.
The Woman Representative also called on Wiper party leaders to intervene and reconcile governor Malombe and senator Musila.
Governor Malombe and senator Musila have been trading accusations and public spats in regards to the Kitui gubernatorial seat.
Musila claims that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has endorsed Malombe for re-election in the August 8 polls.
Governor Malombe on the other hand accuses Musila of demanding a Wiper direct nomination for the Kitui gubernatorial seat.
