The two leaders bumped into each other at the former mayor’s home in Mwembe Tayari village town where they had joined other mourners in consoling the family of the deceased.

Ngilu told Malombe on his face that he should take responsibility of the incident that led to the death of the ex-mayor.

According to Ngilu someone must be behind the death of Mwangangi. “Nobody can convince me it was an accident because I saw what happened,” said Ngilu as quoted by Nation.

She added: “The driver plowed into the crowd unprovoked. It is a miracle that I am still alive.” Her remarks agitated Malombe who went to ask Ngilu to stop linking him to the death of the former Mayor. Ngilu made Malombe angrier when she said that she will not sit back and watch innocent people die. “We cannot accept the killing of innocent residents under the watch of people who are determined to remain in office despite the cost,” she added.

In his response, Malombe asked him not to make hasty claims until police come to the bottom of the matter. “I beseech you to stop making hasty accusations and allow police to conduct investigations,” he said.
