Kitui Governor Julius Malombe, Senator David Musila and former Lands CS Charity Ngilu have been cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to run.

Malombe and Ngilu said they are confident of winning the seat.

Speaking to journalists after being cleared, Malombe said: “I have no doubt the Kitui people will reelect me on account of the many development projects I have initiated in the past four years. In Narok county, incumbent governor Samuel Ole Tunai of jubilee party, Patrick ole Ntutu of Chama cha mzalendo CCM, Former Ps of information Joseph Tiampati of Orange democratic movement have also received a go-ahead from IEBC to seek the top seat in the county.

Exuding confidence while presenting their papers the three expressed optimism of victory come August.

In Narok Patrick Ole Ntutu of Chama cha mzalendo whose papers had previously been challenged at the High court in Nairobi has been given a nod by IEBC together with Former PS for Information

Joseph Tiampati Musuni of ODM and current governor Samuel Ole Tunai of Jubilee.

Ntutu stated that his papers were authentic and called on his opponents to square it up with him at the ballot come 8th of August polls .

On the other hand Tunai who accompanied by his deputy Evelyn Aruasa called on the County Commissioner to intensify security during the two-month campaign period.
