Kitui Governor Julius Malombe has called upon Kitui Senator David Musila and former Land CS Charity to retire from politics.
Speaking to the press at his office, Malombe said that the two leaders’ dreams of unseating him are invalid. According to Malombe, Musila and Ngilu are only waiting for embarrassment if they refuse to hang their political boots before the next general election.
“My advice to Ngilu and Musila is for them to retire from politics honorably, lest the people of Kitui force them to retire at the polls,” Malombe said, as quoted by the Star.
The outspoken leader also boasted that he enjoys massive support from his people and he is confident of another term in office come August.
He reminded the duo that he will not be defeated with ease. “The majority of Kitui people are behind me and my competitors will realize at the polls that I am not a push over. They will be badly rejected by the voters,” the governor said.
The incumbent, who has been at loggerheads with Ngilu following the ex mayors tragic death, further pointed out that his government has undertaken various projects in this part of the nation for the benefit of the people.
“My administration has done 4,000 projects across the county and people are happy. That is why they will reject my competitors,” said Malombe.
