Kitui incumbent governor Dr. Julius Malombe has exuded confidence that he will beat his opponents hands down because of his exemplary performance scoreboard.

Malombe assured his supporters that he will teach his rivals- Former Lands Minister Charity Ngilu and Senator David Musila- a political lesson that they will live to remember when that time comes.

“I have no doubt the Kitui people will reelect me on account of the many development projects I have initiated in the past four years,” he said, as quoted by Star.

Ngilu for his part has also remained unshaken that she will deliver the seat to her supporters come August. The outspoken leader argues that she is best suited to lead the people of this region in the next five years. She also said that she has adequate experience in matters of governance.

“I’m the best to work for the people of Kitui and I’m sure they will make that decision in August,” Musila said.

Senator Musila has also been seen campaigning in different parts of the county in order to dethrone the incumbent governor after the elections.

When asked about the use of choppers, Musila said that he wants to transverse different areas to ensure that he becomes the winner.
